We were recently blessed to have one of our priests come to our home to enthrone an image of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The enthronement is a ceremony of placing an image of the Sacred Heart in a place of respect in the home and is a particular dedication of the family to the reign of Christ. It is truly a great privilege and, as our priest said, about the next best thing to having the Blessed Sacrament reposed in the home (which is generally not possible).
Our Lord promised many graces and favors to those who honor his Sacred Heart in their homes, and he asked that Catholic families do this. I think it is quite evident in our present climate of lewdness and impurity, which permeates movies, television, and media, that the home needs to be a safe haven and refuge for the tabernacles of our souls, a place where Christ is King and nothing enters in which would displease Him.
Heart of Jesus, King and center of all hearts, have mercy on us!
But after they were come to Jesus, when they saw that he was already dead, they did not break his legs. But one of the soldiers with a spear opened his side, and immediately there came out blood and water.
John 19:33-34
