Background
I composed the above setting of Assumpta Est Maria for the women’s schola at my parish at the request of the assistant choir director . It takes the text from the Lauds antiphon of the same name rather than from the proper of the Mass of the feast of the Assumption. Free PDF (creative commons) is available at the bottom of this post.
