I’m pleased with this, and might even consider teaching it to my choir, down the road a bit. Just one question: since you have a 6/4 chord on “me”, implying a not-finished thought process, might you have the next cadence (“Domine”) a minor, rather than f major?
Hello Chris. Thank you for considering the piece. I guess it seemed to me that completing that cadence in F-major rather than D-minor would make it simpler to start the next verse.
I wasn’t clear. I meant “a minor”, i.e., the sixth degree of the c major scale.
It’s a good solid piece. Thank you for writing it. I’ve got my eye on a few others of yours, and will let you know if/when we sing them.
